Welcome to our garden blog! We have designed a new garden, and are very excited about getting the landscaping complete. Here is our design, which shows how we hope create a simple, cheap and low maintenance garden with high impact!

The materials we are hoping to use in the garden include a large circle of lawn defined by a border of black granite setts. Cutting into the lawn, we hope to create a circular patio from the same black granite, which should be set off beautifully with the use of a light grey mortar between each sett. The rest of the ground cover will be made up of a weed supressing membrane and covered in pink gravel (to be sourced).

We also hope to create the impression of paths using slate set within the pink gravel. Planted areas within the gravel, will include some low and medium hight shrubs, including rosemary, lavender, and heather. Planting will be based on deep red, hot pink, dark purple and deep blue varieties and hopefully, ones which are very easy to maintain.
